Blackwattle Buff Raku: A good all round clay. Suitable for wheel work and hand building. It has good plasticity with enough fine Grog (0.5mm) for slabwork etc. Fires buff to brown depending on temperature and kiln atmosphere. Can be fired to stoneware temperatures. Bisque 05 (10500 C) Glaze 06-10 (1000-12500C).
Blackwattle White Grogged Raku: A white clay with a large addition (35%) of fine white Grog (0.5mm). Suitable for large pots, sculptural work, tiles etc. Handbuilt or thrown. An extremely strong clay. May be fired to stoneware temperatures. Grog size -30. Suitable for raku firing.
